The Naga People’s Front (NPF) Manipur State Unit has strongly condemned the bomb attack on the residence of Minister Khashim Vashum in Ukhrul’s Hamleikhong Colony on the night of September 14. The explosion at the Minister of Transport, Veterinary, and Animal Husbandry’s home has been denounced as a “despicable crime” by the party.
In a statement issued today, the NPF expressed grave concern over the attack, calling it a cowardly attempt to disrupt peace in Ukhrul. The party emphasized that such violence not only disregards human lives but also spreads fear within the community, which is unacceptable in a civilized society.
The NPF further stressed that dialogue and understanding should prevail, particularly as Manipur struggles with ongoing ethnic unrest. Extending solidarity to Minister Vashum and his family, the party urged the public to unite against violence and reject acts of terror.
