Noney Sees Bridge Design Survey Exercise

A comprehensive RCC Bridge Design Survey was conducted at the Agah (Ijei) River bank in Noney, facilitated by a bridge design expert from Guwahati, alongside Gailiangpou Gonmei, a social worker, and representatives from the Makhuam Village Authority. The proposed bridge will link NH-37 to Makhuam village, aiming to significantly enhance connectivity across the river. This infrastructure improvement is expected to boost commercial activities and improve the livelihoods of residents not only in Makhuam but also in the wider Noney District. The foundation stone laying and inauguration are scheduled for April 2026, with construction anticipated to begin this April, marking a pivotal initiative for economic growth in the region.
