NIT Delegates Visit Kerala, Mumbai on Educational Tour

The National Integration Tour (NIT), part of Operation Sadbhavana, has allowed 24 youths from the Kuki, Meitei, Pangal, and Naga communities of Manipur to experience a journey across southern and western India, promoting unity in diversity and fostering national pride. On March 7, they visited cultural and scientific institutions in Thiruvananthapuram, including the Napier Museum and the Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre, where they met the Governor of Kerala who encouraged education and national unity. The next day, they toured the Pangode Military Station, experienced the Priyadarshini Planetarium, and went to Kanyakumari, appreciating the blend of cultures and natural beauty. By March 10, the tour reached Mumbai, where participants explored significant landmarks such as the Gateway of India and the Nehru Science Centre, as well as institutions like the Bombay Stock Exchange and the Reserve Bank of India. The diverse travel methods—flights, trains, and local transport—enriched their understanding of India’s geography and highlighted its cultural heritage, strategic roles, urban development, and regional cuisines, ultimately inspiring the youth to positively contribute to society and strengthening the spirit of national integration.
