Narayan Seva Sansthan launches free limb camp for disabled in Siliguri

For the first time, Narayan Seva Sansthan from Udaipur, Rajasthan, will host a free artificial limb camp in Siliguri on Sunday, September 22, at Uttarbanga Marwari Bhawan, Sevok Road. The initiative aims to empower individuals with disabilities due to birth defects, accidents, or illnesses.

Director of Media and Public Relations, Bhagwan Prasad Gaur, highlighted the institute’s commitment to making the disabled physically capable. The camp will run from 8 AM to 6 PM, offering expert evaluations by a team of orthotists and prosthetic doctors. Participants will receive systematic casting for durable, lightweight limbs.

So far, over 310 individuals have registered, with expectations of more than 500 attendees. Free meals, snacks, and tea will be provided for all participants. Camp in-charge Achal Singh Bhati noted that several local organizations are partnering in this effort, and selection for surgeries will occur at the camp. The initiative, part of Narayan Seva Sansthan’s extensive humanitarian efforts since 1985, is expected to significantly impact the lives of disabled individuals in North Bengal.
