Union Minister of State for Petroleum & Natural Gas & Tourism, Suresh Gopi, assured full support for Nagaland’s development during an interaction with district administration officials and department heads at Police House, Chumoukedima, on Friday. Gopi emphasized the government’s commitment to the North East, particularly Nagaland, under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership. He urged officials to meticulously track the state’s budget utilization to ensure maximum benefit for every citizen.
“Have a clear plan, make full use of resources, and bring forward proposals or projects. You have my full support,” he stated. During his visit, Gopi toured the Naga Heirloom Centre in Sovima, where he admired local artisans’ craftsmanship, calling it a highlight of his Nagaland experience.
The Union Minister also met Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio at his private residence. He was accompanied by key officials, including Commissioner & Secretary Himato Zhimomi, Additional Director T. Kakiho Sumi, Secretary Tourism Nchumbemo Lotha, and Chumoukedima administration representatives.
