Nagaland Governor La Ganesan on Sunday lauded the National Cadet Corps (NCC) as a transformative movement that shapes character, instills patriotism, and nurtures future leaders of the nation. He was addressing a felicitation programme held to honour NCC cadets for their outstanding achievements.
Speaking at the event, Governor Ganesan praised the discipline, dedication, and perseverance of the cadets who have brought laurels to the state. “The NCC is not just a youth organization; it is a movement that builds character, fosters patriotism, and prepares young individuals to lead our great nation,” he stated.
The governor acknowledged the cadets’ participation in prestigious national events, including the All India Republic Day Parade in New Delhi, various national-level competitions, and youth camps. He also commended those who have excelled in NCC training and secured positions at the National Defence Academy (NDA).
Highlighting the significance of NCC in shaping responsible citizens, Governor Ganesan emphasized that the program instills leadership qualities and a sense of duty among the youth. He urged cadets to continue their pursuit of excellence and contribute actively to nation-building.
The event, organized under the aegis of Raj Bhavan, celebrated the achievements of NCC cadets and reinforced the government’s commitment to supporting youth development initiatives in the state.
