Security forces conducted a series of arrests involving individuals linked to militant organizations in Manipur. Among those apprehended was Chingakham Rocky Singh, known by his aliases Sanathoi and Ipumba, aged 38, from the Andro Torongthel area. He was arrested in the Ingourok Makha Leikai region under the jurisdiction of Nongpok Sekmai Police Station in Thoubal district, with a mobile phone and SIM card confiscated during the operation.
Additionally, the forces arrested 32-year-old Nahakpam Sibananda Singh, also known as Amuthoi, who is associated with the PREPAK cadre. His arrest took place in Singjamei Thongam Leikai, within the Singjamei Police Station area of Imphal West district. Alongside him, Deviya Mongjam, 29, an associate involved in facilitating extortion transactions, was taken into custody at her home in Kwakeithel Nganapithong Mapal, Imphal West district. Security forces seized two mobile phones, an iPad, and an Aadhaar card during this arrest.
Furthermore, a constable driver for the Manipur Police named Kongkham Sanajaoba Singh, also known as Ibomcha, aged 43, was arrested in the Nambol area of Bishnupur district. Despite his role within the police force, he was actively involved in the recruitment of cadres for the KCP (MFL), a banned organization. This series of arrests underscores ongoing efforts to combat militant activities within the region.
