The 18th Iftar Party organized by the Pangal Students’ Organisation (PSO) Manipur took place at the Lilong Higher Secondary Madrassa, reaffirming its tradition since 2008. Esteemed leaders including Wangkhem Rameshor Singh, Principal of the Madrassa, and representatives from various organizations attended as Presidium Members. During the event, S Sanjoy, the President of AMUCO, emphasized the inseparable bond between the Meitei and Meitei Pangal communities, highlighting their enduring coexistence through historical challenges. He urged unity to overcome divisions fostered by external forces that hinder progress in Manipur.
Farid Bogimayum, President of PSO, reiterated the Iftar party’s objective of promoting love and understanding among communities, advocating for a collaborative effort to eliminate misunderstandings. He called upon the government of Manipur to expedite assistance for children and youths in relief camps, facilitating their return home and resolving existing conflicts. Both leaders underscored the necessity of creating a harmonious Manipur free from hatred, stressing that unity among all communities is essential for advancement and development.
