Meitei Eikhoi Punsinsi (MEIPUN), a social organization focused on aiding vulnerable individuals, provided financial assistance to Naorem Ongbi Madhabi, 75, and her son Naorem Inaocha in Salungpham Maning Leikai, Thoubal district. The family received Rs.10,000 to help them during a difficult period. Naorem Inaocha is unable to work due to severe health issues stemming from an accident that left him incapacitated. The family struggles with basic needs, and Madhabi, although frail, is the sole caregiver. Their situation has impeded their daughter’s education and access to medical treatment. A local youth, Khundrakpam Thoungamba, has been offering help. MEIPUN officials, including Rajendro Pangambam and Keke Wahengbam, encouraged public support for families in distress, highlighting collective responsibility and humanitarianism.
