The fourth edition of the Tri Hills Ensemble celebrating Khasis, Jaintias, and Garos was inaugurated at Ward’s Lake, Shillong, focusing on reviving traditional boating in Darrang and Dawki. Chief Minister Conrad K. Sangma highlighted the festival’s theme, “Rivers, Roots, and Revival,” emphasizing the importance of cultural identity amid economic growth. He urged the documentation of tribal histories and encouraged educational initiatives to foster pride.
