Medanta announces launch of year-long “Jaanta Hai Medanta” campaign to strengthen cancer awareness

Medanta – The Medicity, recognized as India’s Best Private Hospital by Newsweek for six consecutive years, today announced the launch of its “Jaanta Hai Medanta” campaign, a year-long initiative aimed at raising awareness and driving proactive action against cancer. The campaign will commence with a focus on Breast Cancer, which represents one in four cancers in women globally.

Dr. Naresh Trehan, Chairman and Managing Director of Medanta, emphasized the hospital’s commitment to accessible, evidence-based, and humane cancer care. “Medanta leverages advanced technologies and ongoing medical research to improve patient outcomes and ensure world-class care for all,” he said.

As part of the campaign, Medanta has introduced the “Aao Dekho Seekho” kiosks, a pioneering effort to educate women on proper self-breast examination techniques. Group CEO Pankaj Sahni noted that the initiative reflects Medanta’s pledge of understanding, empathy, and patient support throughout their healthcare journey.

The campaign is expected to positively impact the local healthcare market. Regional hospitals and clinics are projected to collaborate with Medanta’s outreach programs, enhancing access to early detection and screening services and reinforcing public awareness on cancer prevention. The campaign will expand to cover other major cancers over the year, supported by a dedicated Northeast Helpline, currently available in Assamese, Nagamese, English, and Hindi, with plans to include Bengali and Mizo.
