Maruti Suzuki India Limited (MSIL) showcased its commitment to decarbonisation and sustainable mobility by unveiling the e VITARA, its first Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) SUV, at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025. Built on the HEARTECT-e platform, the e VITARA promises superior performance with a range exceeding 500 km on a single charge, while prioritizing comfort and safety.
Mr. Toshihiro Suzuki, President of Suzuki Motor Corporation, emphasized the strategic vision to make BEVs appealing through dedicated platforms and tailored products, with India as a key global manufacturing hub. Mr. Hisashi Takeuchi, Managing Director & CEO of MSIL, highlighted the comprehensive ‘e for me’ Electric Eco-Solutions, featuring smart home chargers and an extensive fast-charging network across major cities.
The e VITARA, designed with NEXA’s signature “Crafted Futurism” philosophy, will be available in multiple colors and battery options, reinforcing Maruti Suzuki’s aim to lead India’s electric vehicle landscape.
