Manipur Security forces intensify search operations in hill and valley districts

Security forces in Manipur have successfully retrieved a sizable stockpile of weapons, ammunition, and explosives through a series of well-coordinated search operations throughout the hill and valley regions. These operations were conducted in the outskirts of the Dampi Reserve Forest in the Churachandpur district with the goal of strengthening area dominance in susceptible areas.

Five bore cart cases, five Pumpi rounds, two tear gas grenades, one smoke grenade, one 2-inch mortar bomb, ten Grade 2 explosives, twenty detonators, one.303 rifle, one.22 rifle. To stop the misuse of such hazardous materials, the security forces have increased their presence in these vital areas.

The safe and unfettered transportation of necessities around the state is another benefit of the continuous security activities. 16 vehicles carrying necessary supplies have been able to go freely over National Highway 2, which is still one of the state’s main thoroughfares, thanks to security personnel. Strict security procedures are in place to protect these crucial convoys, and security officers are positioned at strategic points, particularly along delicate sections of the roadway. 106 Nakas have been established in various regions, both in the valley and the hills, in addition to the security checkpoints along important roads.
