Manipur CM Tables State Human Rights Commission’s Annual Report in Assembly

Manipur Chief Minister Yumnam Khemchand Singh laid the Annual Report (2021–22) of the Manipur Human Rights Commission on the Table of the House during the Fifth Sitting of the Seventh Session of the 12th Manipur Legislative Assembly on Friday.

The chief minister also shared that discussions and voting on the demands for grants proceeded as per schedule, reflecting the House’s collective commitment to welfare and development.

“The Manipur Money Lenders Bill, 2026, was also introduced to strengthen regulation of money lending and promote financial inclusivity in the state,” he stated.

On Thursday, the discussion and voting on the Demands for Grants proceeded smoothly during the 4th Sitting of the 7th Session of the 12th Manipur Legislative Assembly, despite certain disruptions.

“I sincerely thank all Members of the House, both those present physically and those attending through virtual conference, for ensuring a fair and orderly conduct of the proceedings,” Singh said.

“I was also pleased to respond to both Starred and Unstarred Questions, with the firm belief that the clarifications provided have addressed the concerns of the honorable Members,” the Chief Minister said.

“The constructive participation and dignified conduct of the House today reflect the strength of our democratic values and the collective commitment to serve the people of Manipur,” he later stated on social media.
