ManipalCigna expands Northeast operations, bets on ‘Sarvah’ to drive health insurance growth

ManipalCigna Health Insurance is accelerating its expansion in Northeast India, strengthening healthcare access through its flagship product ManipalCigna Sarvah, which was recognised as Product of the Year 2025 – Health Insurance following a NielsenIQ consumer survey. The company said the product is driving strong national retail growth and has been designed to offer accessible and comprehensive coverage tailored to evolving healthcare needs.

As part of its regional strategy, the insurer has expanded to eight branches across key Northeast cities and plans to onboard around 10,000 advisors over the next three years, including a targeted initiative to empower 3,000 women advisors. The company has also partnered with football icon Bhaichung Bhutia to deepen local engagement and promote awareness around health, wellness, and financial protection.

The Sarvah portfolio includes three variants — Sarvah Uttam, offering personalized comprehensive coverage with the Anant infinite coverage option; Sarvah Param, featuring Day-1 coverage with zero waiting period and unlimited sum assured; and Sarvah Pratham, an affordable essential plan aimed at first-time buyers and the “missing middle”.

The company’s advisor-led distribution expansion to boost health insurance awareness and adoption, particularly among urban families and small enterprises seeking reliable healthcare financing solutions. Company officials said the Northeast expansion aims to strengthen last-mile service delivery and improve access to dependable health and financial protection.
