The appointment, effective May 2024, marks a significant shift in leadership as Kumar succeeds Michael Blackwell, who has relocated to the United States to pursue fresh endeavors.
Bringing over 25 years of extensive experience in healthcare, pharmaceuticals, and med-tech sectors, Kumar is poised to spearhead Medtronic’s sales, marketing, and commercial operations in India. His track record showcases adept leadership in driving growth and implementing transformative strategies across global markets.
Prior to joining Medtronic, Kumar served as Country Leader at Intuitive India, where he played a pivotal role in expanding patient access and fostering a comprehensive ecosystem for robotic-assisted surgery.
