Major Arms Seizure in Manipur, Three Militants Nabbed by Security Forces

Over the weekend in Manipur, security forces executed multiple coordinated operations leading to the arrest of several active militant cadres and the recovery of a substantial array of weapons and explosives. In the Imphal East district at Yairipok Top Ningthounai Lai Ching, operatives discovered significant armaments including an SLR with a magazine, various handguns including a 9 mm and multiple .32 pistols, IEDs, grenades, and 37 live rounds. In another operation in Churachandpur district, authorities found a 3 kg IED, a rocket with approximately 100 kg of explosives, a sniper rifle, domestic SBBLs, and additional ammunition. At Kangaching Tellou in Imphal East, security personnel seized more arms and military gear, including mortar bombs and a BAOFENG wireless set. The arrests included significant captures such as Laishram Kullabi Meitei from Imphal West, who was linked to RPF/PLA, and KCP (Taibanganba) operative Tensubam Bangkim Singh from Bishnupur. The operations were part of ongoing counter-insurgency efforts to neutralize militant threats and prevent potential attacks.
