On Monday, police in South West Garo Hills discovered a substantial amount of ammunition during a search operation near Santogre village. This operation was conducted by a joint team from Salmanpara and Ampati Police Stations, responding to reliable information regarding potential illegal activity. The police searched a bamboo grove within the jurisdiction of the Salmanpara Police Station, where they found 55 suspected live anti-aircraft ammunition rounds buried at the site.
