Major arms cache recovered in Manipur by security forces

In a major breakthrough, the Indian Army, in collaboration with the Manipur Police and other security agencies, has successfully recovered a cache of arms, ammunition, and warlike stores during a series of joint operations across the state. The operations, carried out across both the hill and valley regions, led to the seizure of 42 weapons, along with a significant quantity of ammunition and other military-grade supplies. Key districts involved in the recovery efforts included Imphal West, Chandel, Thoubal, Kangpokpi, and Churachandpur.

Officials described the operations as a coordinated effort to enhance public safety and curb the circulation of illegal arms. Security forces have intensified their presence in vulnerable areas, conducting search missions and establishing dominance to maintain law and order.“The successful recovery of these weapons is a testament to the vigilance and dedication of our security forces,” an official spokesperson stated. “Efforts are ongoing to identify and neutralize potential threats in the region.”

The heightened security measures come amid efforts to restore peace and stability in Manipur. Authorities are working closely with local communities to ensure cooperation and prevent the resurgence of violence.
