In an ongoing initiative to enhance education and boost community involvement, the Centre for Women and Girls (CWG), in collaboration with Assam Rifles, conducted a Library Upgradation Programme as part of Operation Sadbhavna. This initiative aimed to improve the learning environment by upgrading the infrastructure for local students in the region. Essential items such as book racks, shelves, a cash counter table, inverter with battery, display retail shelves, and a lighting signage board were provided to enhance the existing library facilities. The upgrades are anticipated to foster a more conducive learning atmosphere, encouraging students to utilize available resources more effectively. The event saw participation from Civil Society Organisation representatives, village authorities, and GUNCHU students, illustrating the community’s collective commitment to educational development. During the event, authorities from Assam Rifles recognized community representatives for their cooperation and ongoing support in strengthening educational initiatives, as reported by a press release from IGAR(S).
