India Opportunities Fund Ltd. (KIOF), a SEBI registered Foreign Portfolio Investor regulated by the Financial Services Commission of Mauritius, has issued a statement addressing ongoing regulatory scrutiny. Established in 2013, KIOF enables foreign clients to invest in India under strict adherence to KYC procedures and all applicable laws.
In response to recent allegations, Kotak Mahindra International Limited (KMIL), associated with KIOF, clarified that Hindenburg has never been a client or investor in the Fund. The firm expressed unawareness of any partnership involving Hindenburg with its investors, backed by a confirmation that investments were made independently.”KIOF remains committed to transparency and cooperation with regulatory authorities,” stated a spokesperson from KMIL.
