KCP (MFL) and PREPAK (Pro) Militants Arrested by Security Forces

Security forces conducted operations resulting in the arrest of two active cadres from different insurgent groups along the Indo-Burma Sugnu Road. The first arrest involved Khundrakpam Amar, also known as Kamando Singh, from Aihang village, who was implicated in a kidnapping case registered at Waikhong Police Station in Kakching district. The second individual, Laishram Inaotomba Singh, aged 48, associated with PREPAK (Pro), was apprehended in his locality in Achanbigei Thongkong Makha Leikai, Imphal East district. During his arrest, authorities seized ₹1,89,000 in cash and a mobile phone from Singh. In the broader context, a total of 116 Nakas/Check points were established across various districts, encompassing both hilly areas and valleys, although no additional detentions were made. The security forces facilitated the movement of 196 vehicles transporting essential goods along National Highway 37 and implemented stringent security protocols to safeguard these transport routes, particularly in sensitive areas.
