Consumers can expect better-designed, more durable and sustainable furniture in the years ahead as INDIAWOOD 2026 prepares to return from February 26 to March 2 at the Bangalore International Exhibition Centre, Bengaluru. Organised by NürnbergMesse India with support from EUMABOIS, the event will be the largest edition in its 26-year history.
The exhibition will bring together over 1,000 brands from more than 50 countries, attract 90,000+ professionals, and span 85,000 square metres—15 per cent larger than the previous edition. For consumers, this scale signals faster adoption of global technologies that influence everyday products, from modular furniture and doors to mattresses and interior solutions.
Industry momentum is being reinforced by progress on the India–EU Free Trade Agreement, described by policymakers as the “mother of all deals”. The agreement is expected to lower tariffs, expand access to European markets, and allow smoother inflows of advanced machinery, helping Indian manufacturers improve quality while keeping costs competitive.
At INDIAWOOD 2026, manufacturers will showcase compact production systems, advanced surface technologies, nature-inspired finishes, and automation-led smart manufacturing. Sustainability will be a major focus, with certified wood, low-emission materials and bio-based adhesives aligned with global standards.
Co-located platforms such as Wood+ in Architecture & Design and the India Mattresstech & Upholstery Supplies Expo further highlight how innovation across the value chain is shaping consumer-ready products in a furniture market projected to reach USD 40 billion by 2030.
