Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg has introduced an expansion of WhatsApp’s payment feature in India during the Meta Conversations meeting held in Mumbai. Initially Meta has collaborated with PayU and RazorPay to execute the payment services.
Beneficiaries in India from now onwards can avail this feature via WhatsApp Business by making use of other transactions methods such as GPay, Credit/Debit cards, Paytm, UPI, PhonePe and many more.
According to Zuckerberg, this initiative will help people to do payments at their fingertips within a WhatsApp chat. Another feature known as WhatsApp Flows has been also introduced which will help in booking tickets, application submission, form filling and many more. This feature will be launched in the coming week.
