The Gems & Jewellery sector is one of the important sectors of the Indian Economy, and being one of the leading sectors in terms of employment generation.The key issue is “Lack of awareness and formal training” and has been a barrier between the aspirants and industrial opportunities.
In order to bridge the gap “Indian Institute of Gems & Jewellery Jaipur” is organizing an awareness program for the first time in North East to explore the opportunities in the emerging Gems and jewellery sector, to instill knowledge, to generate interest and to unveil the underlying career opportunities in the industry by motivating the youth about the many avenues that this industry has to offer.
The interactive session was conducted at Terapanth Bhawan by Mr Anish Kappil Kunjumon, Principal IIGJ Jaipur, Mrs. Madhu Sharma, Associate Professor and Ms. Niharika Jamar, Assistant Professor. A designer jewellery with the conceptual sketch to rendered drawing to CAD and the final product was also on display. The event was graced by about 60 people from the city and another session will be conducted at NEHHDC, Bamunimaidan on 01-06-2023.
