Indian consumers are bullish on online shopping this festive season, with 81% of respondents expressing strong sentiment and intent to shop online. Amazon.in is the most preferred online shopping brand for consumers across all categories, including large appliances, mobiles/smartphones, consumer electronics, apparel, footwear & fashion accessories, beauty, and grocery.
Key findings of the study: (a) 87% of consumers in metros and 86% in tier-2 cities prefer to shop online this festive season. (b) 77% of consumers say online festive shopping events enhance the convenience of their online shopping experience. (c) 70% of consumers wait for online festive shopping events to purchase electronic items, attracted by attractive offers (76%) and new brand launches (75%). (d) 75% of consumers are excited about attractive bank offers and No-Cost EMIs, making their purchases more convenient and rewarding. (e) 80% of consumers say online festive shopping events provide access to trendy brands for apparel, footwear, and various fashion accessories. (f) 77% of consumers share that these online shopping events offer convenient features such as virtual try-on (VTO), sizing charts, and “shop the look” prompts. (g) 41% of consumers embrace Amazon.in for all their Grocery needs, making it their most preferred brand to shop online this festive period. (h) 75% of consumers believe in the convenience of online shopping events to offer the finest quality grocery and everyday essential products. (i) 42% of respondents choose UPI for online festive shopping.
Overall, the study shows that Indian consumers are confident in online shopping and are eager to take advantage of the convenience and value offered by online festive shopping events. Amazon.in is the most preferred online shopping brand for consumers across all categories.
