India’s electrical industry is poised for a major transformation as Union Commerce & Industry Minister Piyush Goyal called for a unified, large-scale exposition to position the country as the global hub for electrical and energy solutions. Speaking at ELECRAMA 2025, Goyal stressed that merging industry-led exhibitions into one grand platform would attract top investors, enhance exports, and strengthen India’s leadership in the power sector.
The event also witnessed Vimal Anand, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Commerce & Industry, announcing that India is set to become the world’s third-largest economy by 2026, ahead of previous estimates. Meanwhile, a key MoU signed at the Reverse Buyer Seller Meet (RBSM) is expected to boost international collaborations in the power sector. The eTECHnxt conference further explored clean energy, digitalization, and smart grid advancements, highlighting the importance of workforce upskilling.
