Recently a sudden outbreak of fire at a residence adjacent to Basjhar More in Ward No. 40 of Siliguri sparked panic among the residents of the area. Actually the raging inferno reduced furniture and other household items to ashes. As per reports, smoke was emerging from the house on Tuesday morning. Promptly, the matter was reported to the police and fire department. Upon being alerted, a fire engine, along with the cops of Ashighar Outpost, arrived at the spot and brought the situation under control.
The preliminary analysis of the fire department indicates that the fire might have sparked from a short circuit. A detailed investigation into the incident is currently underway.
