In Madhya Pradesh, people are scared of street dogs. IAS officers came to the field to stop the situation

You must have heard many times about the violence of stray dogs in different places. A similar incident was heard in Madhya Pradesh. More than 21,000 dog bites in Madhya Pradesh are coming every year, which has worried the administration as well. The administration was forced to kill about five stray dogs in the last five years.

Not only on roads or residential areas but also on government premises, the cruelty of stray dogs is increasing day by day. Needless to say, the matter is completely critical. The matter is of such importance that the General Administration Department of Madhya Pradesh has issued an order to constitute a 15-member committee, including IAS officers, up to the level of Additional Chief Secretary.Not only in Bhopal, but an average of 55 dog bites are being recorded every day from various hospitals in Madhya Pradesh. In the last 5 years, several thousand people have died due to water rabies. On July 1st, a man named Kunal had to get eight stitches after being bitten by a dog near Lalghati in Gopal.

Just five days after the incident, a 16-year-old man named Ravi Sahu was attacked by stray dogs while going to the temple with his family. Also on July 9, a man was attacked by stray dogs in Hosangabad, and his leg was seriously injured.

In this context, the opposition points out the failure of the government and claims that the incident of people being attacked by stray dogs only shows the failure of the government. In this context, Animal Husbandry Minister Laxman Patel said, ‘Our priority is to save lives, so we have formed a committee with officers. If stray dogs can be removed in any way without killing them, that will be tried.However, the number of people attacked by dogs has been increasing over the past few years. In 2022, the number of people bitten by dogs was 8,124. That number will double in 2023. In 2023, the number of people bitten by dogs will reach 16,387.
