Former Indian Cricketer Gautam Gambhir who is appointed as new head coach of team India after Rahul Dravid has finally appeared for the interviews. Gambhir was surrounded with many questions as this is the first time he is appearing before the media as head coach of team India.

During the interview, Gambhir hinted Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma will be seen playing in future ODI World Cup even though both the players have announced their retirement from T20I.

Gambhir said, “One thing I can be very clear of is that both of those guys (Rohit and Virat) have a lot of cricket left in them. More importantly, with the Champions Trophy and a big tour to Australia, obviously they would be motivated enough. I think they have shown what they can deliver on the big stage, whether it’s the T20 World Cup or the 50-over World Cup.”

Further he added, “Hopefully, if they can keep their fitness, the 2027 World Cup as well.”

However, during 2027 ODI World Cup, Rohit will be 40 years old, while Kohli will be 38.
