If there is no bacterial infection suspected, antibiotics should not be administered in Covid. Rule of the Center

A updated treatment protocol for adult coronavirus patients published by the Centre advises against the use of antibiotics in instances of Covid unless there is a clinical suspicion of bacterial infection.
Azithromycin, Doxycycline, hydroxychloroquine, Molnupiravir, Favipiravir, and Molnupiravir should not be used to treat adult COVID-19 patients in India, according to the updated guidelines, which were released on Sunday in response to an increase in coronavirus cases.
The clinical guideline protocol was revised at the January 5 meeting of the AIIMS/ICMR-COVID-19 National Working Force. Convalescent plasma therapy was also discouraged, according to the publication.
