ICICI Bank has expanded its footprint in East Champaran district by inaugurating a new branch on Chandmari Road, Motihari. This marks the bank’s second branch in the town and seventh in the district. The branch, which includes a 24×7 ATM, was inaugurated by Shri Saurabh Suman Yadav (I.A.S), Municipal Commissioner of East Champaran.
The new branch offers a comprehensive suite of banking services, including savings and current accounts, fixed and recurring deposits, and various loans such as home, personal, business, auto, gold, tractor, and education loans. Additionally, customers can access remittance and card services. It operates from 9:30 AM to 3:00 PM on weekdays and the first, third, and fifth Saturdays of the month. The branch also provides Tab Banking, allowing employees to assist customers with account opening, cheque book requests, and address changes through a tablet device.
The expansion is expected to benefit Motihari, providing traders and small businesses with easier access to credit and financial services. With improved banking infrastructure, the local economy could see increased liquidity, better digital transactions, and enhanced financial inclusion. ICICI Bank has over 150 branches and 320 ATMs across Bihar, reinforcing its commitment to financial accessibility and digital banking services.
