Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) conducted a National Road Safety Awareness Campaign in Nalbari, Assam, aiming to promote safe riding habits in India. Over 1800 college students and staff members participated in the two-day camp, which focused on age-appropriate learning programs to enhance road safety awareness.
Speaking on HMSI’s commitment towards building a collision-free India, Mr. Vinay Dhingra – Senior Director, HR, Admin, IT & Corporate Affairs, Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India said, “Our mission is to cultivate a positive mindset among youngsters, instilling in them the understanding that road safety is cool and is a gateway to discipline in life.”
The program included a scientifically designed learning module, practical learning on a virtual riding simulator, interactive sessions for the Participants to give danger prediction training known as Kiken Yosoku Training (KYT), and testing existing riders riding skills through slow riding activities and riding on narrow planks. Honda also conducted daily educational activities like road safety games and quizzes to ensure young students learned more about road safety. The campaign aimed to build a culture of safe riding habits and promote safe driving habits globally.
