Manipur Governor Ajay Kumar Bhalla emphasized the significance of cultural exchange and national unity at the National Integration Tour – 2025 Experience Sharing Program, held at Raj Bhavan’s Durbar Hall in Imphal. The event brought together students from various districts of Manipur, who shared their experiences from visits to different cities across India.
Addressing the gathering, Governor Bhalla stated that firsthand exposure to India’s diverse cultures, traditions, and lifestyles fosters deeper understanding and strengthens the idea of national integration. He noted that such initiatives help break stereotypes, promote inclusivity, and create bonds between communities from different backgrounds.
The Governor also highlighted the role of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat initiative, which encourages inter-state engagement through structured exchange programs. He advocated for expanding similar efforts, suggesting that students from other parts of India should also visit Manipur and the northeastern states to experience their unique cultural heritage.
During the event, students shared their travel experiences, discussing the cuisines, historical sites, and traditions they encountered across the country. The programme concluded with an interactive session where Governor Bhalla urged students to be ambassadors of unity and cultural harmony, reinforcing the importance of national integration in building a stronger and more inclusive India.
