G.P. Singh informs about Assam people rescue from Manipur violence

Since few days in Manipur, Northeast there has been clash between the tribal community and the Meitei Community of the state. The Kuki community of the state had to flee from their own native state and take shelter in other states of Northeast regions.

On Monday, DGP of Assam Police, G.P. Singh had informed that Assam Police team has reached Manipur in view of the violence created by the communities  to provide help or facilitate the return of any person from the state stuck there.

The DGP said Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma had instructed them immediately after violence broke out in Manipur last week to get in touch with people from Assam staying in Manipur and provide all assistance.

He also said that most of the people are not willing to return back but they are trying to help those who wish to return back.
