Free rice distribution for recipients kicks off Anna Sewa Din for March 2025

The Anna Sewa Din initiative’s free rice distribution for March 2025 gets underway, guaranteeing food security for the state’s millions of recipients. The campaign will run through March 10. Official sources state that during this period, rations will be distributed to 2,45,47,576 people from 70,52,524 homes. In order to demonstrate the government’s support for the weaker segments of society, the program seeks to supply food grains to qualified families. On the specified dates, people are encouraged to pick up free rice from Fair Price Shops. After obtaining the rice, be careful to take the receipt that the e-PoS machine produced.

Families participating in Antyodaya Anna Yojana (AAY) receive 35 kg of rice per month, whereas Priority Households (PHH) receive 5 kg per person under the National Food Security Act. Reasonable Cost Shops must use extensive advertisement to tell beneficiaries about Anna Sewa Din. To guarantee full distribution of rice, the stores will remain open all day during the event. Shopkeepers are responsible for ensuring that the receipts produced by the e-PoS machines for the rice they collect are given to the recipients. Under the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana, these steps are a part of the continuous efforts to guarantee the efficient and successful distribution of rice to the eligible recipients.
