A one-day comprehensive free health camp was organized in collaboration with the Shija Eye Care Foundation, Shija Hospitals & Research Institute Pvt. Ltd., NPCB & VI, Manipur Chapter, and the All Manipur Working Journalists’ Union at the Manipur Press Club. The primary objective of the initiative was to promote preventive healthcare and enable early detection of prevalent medical conditions among media professionals and their families.
The event attracted around 55 members of the All Manipur Working Journalists’ Union, along with their family members, who were able to receive free consultations and health assessments. Consultant Ophthalmologists Dr. Dinakumar Yambem and Dr. Chakpram Priyalakshmi conducted ophthalmic evaluations, while specialists from the Department of Medicine at Shija Hospitals provided general health consultations and medical assessments.
This collaborative effort underscores a strong commitment to community outreach, emphasizes the importance of preventive healthcare, and aims at strengthening partnerships with key stakeholders throughout the state.
