Five years of growth and learning: Khongnangthaba University marks its 5th Foundation Day

Khongnangthaba University, located in Khurai Konsam Leikai, Imphal East, celebrated its 5th Foundation Day with a gathering of dignitaries, faculty, staff, students, parents, and well-wishers. The event featured notable guests including Prof. Kiran Hazarika, Pro-Vice-Chancellor of Central University of Punjab; Dr. G. Mariappan from St. Mary’s College of Pharmacy; and Dr. Jawahar J. Shah, a prominent homeopathic physician. The ceremony was presided over by Prof. N. Joykumar Singh, Vice-Chancellor of Khongnangthaba University.

The event commenced with a welcome address from Dr. K. Bheigyachandra Singh, Dean of the School of Social Sciences and Humanities, who extended greetings to the dignitaries and guests. Dr. Atom Sunil Singh, the Registrar, presented the keynote address, outlining the university’s progress, academic endeavors, and achievements.

Prof. N. Joykumar Singh, in his presidential address, emphasized a significant academic milestone for KHU, showcasing the institution’s transition towards research-oriented outcomes. Following this, faculty members Dr. S. Ingotombi Singh and Chungkham Yashawanta Singh addressed the audience, contributing their insights as scholars in geology and Manipuri linguistics respectively.

The program proceeded with speeches from the dignitaries according to the agenda, concluding with a vote of thanks delivered by Dr. L. Imoba Singh, Assistant Registrar. The formal proceedings concluded with refreshments for attendees.
