Security forces in Tengnoupal district arrested five members of valley-based insurgent groups (VBIGs) during operations conducted between border posts 73 and 75, under the jurisdiction of Moreh Police Station. The arrested individuals include Thangjam Ashok Kumar Singh, also known as Khongthang, from Waikhong Village affiliated with PREPAK; Laishram Nipamacha Singh, alias Loiya, from Sagolmang Awang Leikai, also linked to PREPAK; Thangjam Manimatum Meitei, or Sana, from Sugnu Awang Leikai associated with KYKL; Laishram Inao Singh, known as Sanamacha, from Urup Makha Leikai of KCP-MFL; and Chingangbam Shakti Singh, alias Phairen, from Lamlai Nongada, also a member of KCP-MFL. Additionally, the movement of 121 vehicles carrying essential goods was facilitated along National Highway 37 over the past 24 hours, with strict security measures implemented across all identified vulnerable areas. A total of 116 Nakas (checkpoints) were established in various districts, encompassing both hilly and valley regions, though no further detentions were reported during these measures.
