At least 11 shops were gutted in a massive fire that broke out early on Tuesday morning in Williamnagar. The blaze, suspected to have been caused by a short circuit, started around 5 AM and took several hours to douse off completely. Upon receiving a distress call, a Police Control Room (PCR) team promptly reached the scene and began firefighting operations. Despite their response, the fire destroyed 11 small business establishments. Fortunately, no casualties or injuries were reported as the shops were closed at the time. Authorities have initiated a damage assessment to determine the extent of the losses.
