Steven Hunt, a 50-year-old truck driver from Bristol, is set to face trial in Albania for his alleged involvement in the execution of businessman Ardian Nikulaj. Nikulaj was fatally shot six times at his hotel in Shengjin in April 2023, an act believed to be linked to a 28-year-long blood feud between rival families. Prosecutors allege that Hunt monitored Nikulaj’s movements, checking into the Coral Hotel under the guise of a tourist. Despite undergoing treatment for prostate cancer, a judge at Westminster Magistrates’ Court has referred Hunt’s case for extradition to Albania, with the decision delayed to gather more medical details. Four other individuals have already been ordered for extradition in connection with this case.
