A felicitation programme was held by Kachathol Hiyanglam–Wabagai on Friday to honor Wahengbam Renudhar, who achieved All India Rank 652 in the Union Public Service Commission Civil Services Examination 2025. The event took place at the organization’s grounds and was attended by notable figures, including chief guest Dr. Elangbam Amit Kumar, Proprietor of Lamyanba Enterprises, and special invitees like local elder W. Chaobi Singh and Retd. A.I. Kakching E. Surendrajit.
During the ceremony, Renudhar was warmly celebrated by members of Kachathol Hiyanglam–Wabagai, local Meira Paibi members, and residents, who presented him with traditional garlands, shawls, and gifts to commend his significant achievement. In his address, Renudhar recounted his journey in preparing for the UPSC examination, emphasizing that success is attainable with the right strategy and consistent dedication. He reflected on his earlier unsuccessful attempts and credited his eventual success to strong family support and improved preparation methods. The encouragement from his community played an essential role in helping him overcome the challenges during his study period.
Dr. Elangbam Amit Kumar, in his speech, expressed pride in the achievements of children in the community, highlighting that despite the region’s underdeveloped status, local students have excelled in various examinations. He remarked that Renudhar’s rank in the Civil Services Examination exemplifies the presence of talented individuals in the area. Kumar underscored the importance of hard work and dedication, predicting that future generations will yield more successful individuals. He emphasized the necessity for good governance and responsible citizenship in building a better society, pointing out the challenges many parents face in providing education for their children due to financial constraints. Furthermore, he advocated for improved educational facilities and healthcare, as well as urging voters to elect capable representatives rather than those offering short-term incentives.
The programme culminated in participants expressing their best wishes and support for Wahengbam Renudhar’s future pursuits, marking a significant communal recognition of his accomplishments.
