Excellence Recognized at Assam RGU During Chancellor’s Appreciation and Felicitation Event

The Assam Royal Global University (RGU) held the “Chancellor’s Appreciation and Felicitation Ceremony” on Tuesday to honor exceptional achievements by students and faculty in academics, research, innovation, sports, and national service. Dr. A. K. Pansari, the Chancellor, awarded the Chancellor’s Appreciation Medals to ten outstanding students in the company of Prof. AK Buragohain, Vice Chancellor, and Prof. Amarjyoti Choudhury, Emeritus Professor at the Dr Bhupen Hazarika Centre for Creativity, among others. The ceremony also recognized 23 faculty members for securing significant research project grants, underscoring the University’s commitment to sponsored research and academic innovation.

In his address, Dr. Pansari congratulated the awardees, highlighting the values of excellence, discipline, innovation, and service to society. He urged students and faculty to continue aspiring for greater achievements and to play a role in nation-building through education, research, and leadership. A notable recognition was given to Lieutenant Dr. K. M. Sudha, the first officer from the Northeast to earn the NCC Gold Medal at the Officer Training Academy in Gwalior, marking a proud moment for both the University and the region. The event concluded with a vote of thanks from Vice Chancellor Prof. Buragohain, who acknowledged the collaborative efforts of students, faculty, and the university community in advancing RGU’s mission of academic excellence and societal influence.
