Tuensang, September 17, 2025: The Eastern Naga Students’ Federation (ENSF) has decided to continue and intensify its ongoing agitation after an emergency Presidential meeting held at its Tuensang headquarters on September 16. The meeting was convened in response to a letter from the Department of School Education (DoSE), which urged the federation to call off its protest.
After careful deliberation, ENSF officials stated that the DoSE letter (No. DSE/RATIONALIZATION/21-1/2023/103, dated September 15, 2025) failed to provide any concrete commitments to address the federation’s key demands. As a result, the federation announced that it would proceed with the second phase of its agitation.
Further, ENSF confirmed that a third and more intensified phase of the protest would commence on September 18. The federation emphasized that henceforth, all instructions regarding the agitation will be communicated exclusively through the ENSF Control Room, and all affiliated units are expected to comply strictly.
