Durex The Birds and Bees Talk (TBBT) programme by Reckitt, a global leader in consumer health, hygiene, and nutrition, assumed the role of Health Partner at the third edition of the Shillong Cherry Blossom Festival 2023. Durex TBBT is being implemented by Plan India in six states of the Northeast, Delhi, and Gujarat. The annual festival, organized by Meghalaya’s Department of Tourism, is a cultural and musical extravaganza that showcases popular culture, art, and music. It attracts Northeast India with performances from international, national, and local musicians.
At the Shillong Cherry Blossom Festival 2023, the TBBT display corner showcased the program’s five principles through an interactive Run to Learn game. Meghalaya-based rapper A. Hosea revealed the upcoming Durex TBBT rap album, influenced by Inclusion, Protection, Awareness, Equity, and Consent.
The TBBT Conscious Corner provided a safe space for adolescents to navigate growing up challenges. District Commissioner, Ribhoi, Meghalaya said, “With ‘The Birds and Bees Talk’ partnership in the Shillong Cherry Blossom festival, we intend to utilise rich cultural heritage of North East India and promote local artists to spread correct messages on growing up.”
