Election Commission of India has recently released draft delimitation of Assembly and Parliamentary Constituencies in Assam. Since the release, there has been protest going on in the state and other places by the opposition parties.
Many Political parties have stepped back and stand against the draft delimitation due to the minimizing number of seats. And many communities have also expressed their dissatisfaction regarding the new exercise.
Including with it, All India United Democratic Front (AIUDF) has filed a case in the Supreme Court against the draft delimitation proposal.
Also according to the sources, the case was filed by Katlicherra MLA and vice president of All India United Democratic Front (AIUDF) Suzam Uddin Laskar.
