Reckitt, a global consumer health and hygiene company, has announced the winners of the second edition of Dettol Hygiene Olympiad, India’s largest hygiene Olympiad, aimed at raising awareness about hygiene’s role in preventing childhood illnesses. The 15 Olympiad winners and their teachers were honored at the launch of Dettol Banega Swasth India Season 10 in Mumbai, where they were rewarded with cash prizes from various Indian cities, including Budgam, Namsai, Uttarey, and Gir Somnath.
Dettol Hygiene Olympiad2.0 educated over 30 million children in India on handwashing hygiene best practices across 28 states and 8 union territories. The event was attended by students from 2500 gurukuls, offering accessible Sanskrit exam papers.
The exam was divided into five levels for children aged 6-16 years, with multiple-choice questions on health and hygiene. 15 students from each level were awarded cash prizes, with the first position winning INR 50,000, the second winning INR 35,000, and the third winning INR 15,000.
