A Naga woman was arrested in Gurugram for allegedly aiding cyber fraudsters from China, following a joint operation by Gurugram Police and the Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Centre. Authorities confiscated seven mobile phones, a WiFi modem, three SIM cards, and a broken laptop from her. The woman and her husband reportedly helped China-based criminals by setting up a virtual SIM box in Gurugram, targeting Indian citizens with scams including gaming fraud, investment fraud, and digital arrest scams.
