Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Friday inaugurated a cricket stadium ACA (Assam Cricket Association) Cricket Stadium at Umarangso in Dima Hasao district. This is be the first cricket stadium of ACA in Dima Hasao district. The venue offers earthen gallery seating for approximately 15,000 spectators and features five dedicated practice pitches. The pavilion has been named in honour of Sengya Tularam Senapati, reflecting the state’s effort to connect sports infrastructure with local heritage. The stadium will host domestic cricket matches under the ACC and the BCCI.”A cricket stadium nestled amidst clouds and surrounded by picturesque locales- that’s what the new ACA Stadium in Dima Hasao will offer to 15,000 spectators,” CM Sarma said in a post on X.
