On Thursday, Opposition party meeting was held here in Guwahati hosted by Assam Congress. All India United Democratic Front (AIUDF) was not invited to the meeting rest all the parties were invited to the meeting.
Now, AIUDF MLA Aminul Islam has accused the party for not inviting. He said, “The Assam Congress seems to have fallen into the BJP’s trap. The Congress, on Thursday, hosted a meeting of 11 Opposition parties but did not extend an invitation to us. They should realize that if all Opposition forces do not come together, the BJP will reap the political dividends.”
According to AIUDF, Assam Congress has fallen into the trap of BJP and has also refused an alliance with AIUDF.
Earlier, both Congress and AIUDF fought the 2021 assembly elections in Assam in alliance but lost to BJP.
